Privacy policy

Effective date: September 13, 2026

Scope

This privacy policy covers the Daypace app for iPhone and iPad and the daypace.com website. It is the whole policy for both.

Your to-dos stay on your device

The to-dos, projects, notes, tags, checklists, reminders and alarm history you create in Daypace are stored on your device. Daypace does not upload them to a server operated by us, and there is no Daypace account.

If a future version offers iCloud sync, it will use your Apple account and Apple's iCloud service under Apple's terms, and you will be able to turn it off in the app.

Permissions the app asks for

Alarms: Daypace asks for permission to schedule alarms so an exact time can ring through Silent and Focus. Notifications: used as the fallback when alarms are not allowed, and for reminders that are not alarms. Both are optional and can be changed in Settings on your device.

Speech recognition and the microphone are requested only if you use voice capture, and only while you are dictating. Reminders and Calendar access are requested only if you choose to import from those apps.

Anonymous usage counts

Daypace sends anonymous product events, for example that a to-do was created or that an alarm fired, so we can see which features earn their place. These events carry a random install identifier, the app version, your device model and system version, and your country as inferred from your connection. They never include the text of a to-do, a note, a tag or a person's name.

This analytics service is provided by PostHog. On the website, page views are sent the same way, through our own domain.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment card. We receive purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund status from Apple, and we use RevenueCat to check that status so paid features unlock on your devices.

You manage subscriptions and refund requests in your Apple Account settings, under Apple's policies.

Support messages

If you write to us through the form at https://daypace.com/support, we keep what you typed, the reply address if you gave one, and the time it was sent, in a private store at our hosting provider, so a person can follow up. We keep it until the matter is closed and delete it within 90 days after that. It is never used for marketing. Please do not include the contents of your to-do list unless it is needed to reproduce a problem.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers named above, with Apple where needed to operate the app, when the law requires it, or as part of a transfer of the business.

Retention

Data on your device is yours to delete: remove a to-do, clear the Logbook, or delete the app. Anonymous analytics events and support correspondence are kept as long as they are useful for running the product and meeting legal obligations.

Children

Daypace is not directed to children under 13, or a higher age where local law requires. If we learn that we hold personal information from a child in violation of the law, we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy. Material changes move the effective date. Questions and privacy requests go through the form at https://daypace.com/support.
